What is NLP?
Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) is a methodology that focuses on the connection between neurological processes (neuro), language (linguistic), and behavioral patterns learned through experience (programming). Developed in the 1970s by Richard Bandler and John Grinder, NLP seeks to understand how individuals perceive the world, communicate, and create meaning, and how these perceptions and communication patterns can be changed to achieve specific goals and outcomes.
NLP operates on the premise that by understanding and modifying the patterns of thought and behavior that individuals use, they can improve their effectiveness, communication skills, and personal development. It incorporates a variety of techniques and principles borrowed from fields such as psychology, linguistics, cognitive science, and systems theory.
